In the seaside town of Gerringong, The Pause is a five-bedroom luxurious retreat inspired by the tropical Bahamas and a classic Singaporean-style. Designed as a holiday property, the aesthetic evokes a magical holiday feeling with statement Indonesian-teak plantation shutters, whitewashed walls and lush palms surrounding the house. The interior features organic materials mixed with minimalism and a touch of coastal in a nod to its location.

This original farmhouse in Gerringong on the South Coast of NSW had many additions over the years, and for us, it was love at first sight. Inspired to bring the farmhouse back to her original beauty, we reimagined the home into a classic coastal farmhouse. The stone fireplace was the muse, with every building material selection drawn from there. Although we no longer own this property, the holiday property cemented the SOUL brand, so it will always have a place in our hearts.

SOUL Cottage was the second stage of the SOUL of Gerringong project and was where we called home for almost a year before opening it as a holiday property. We could have easily demolished this building, but we saw the beauty in what was one of the town’s original shopfronts. Where the kitchen/living/dining area stands was once a falling down shed. This property has so much soul (excuse the pun), and she's a stunning example that bigger isn't always better.

In the heart of Berry, a corner block of land was transformed into two side-by side holiday properties showcasing contemporary-meets-classic architecture. In a nod to the quaintness and beauty of the town, a modern farmhouse aesthetic was infused into the interiors with that holiday feeling Soul Home is known for creating. The aim was to create an experience where guests feel immersed in the ambiance of a deconstructed hotel, while still enjoying the cosy comforts of a private holiday home.

Located on the same street as Maple in Berry, Rubus is a trio of side-by-side townhouses. The residences have been named Rubus Pink, Rubus Blue and Rubus Green inspired by the subtle interior colour theme unique to each house. The interior has been kept light and airy with natural materials to complement the country surroundings. Again, the goal was to create an experience where guests feel that signature holiday feeling in a relaxed yet refined private holiday home.

Palm House Gerroa has an incredible beachfront location with interiors that needed a complete refresh. We said goodbye to the shark fin in the kitchen and created a blank canvas of white before working our magic with the renovation, including lighting, furniture and styling. Now we have a quintessential beach house that oozes personality.

Located in the beachside suburb of Cronulla, The Maybe Forever is a three-storey Bahamas inspired home that showcases organic materials and a plantation style throughout. The goal was to create that signature holiday feeling for our home, while remaining functional and robust for a busy family of six.

A shed in the Maybe Forever backyard was transformed into a stylish studio, designed to complement the house aesthetic with plenty of practical features. The all-white facade features batten board detail and statement french doors, while inside includes a kitchenette, lounge area and reading nook with a pitched roof and exposed beams bringing warmth and spaciousness to the white interior.

This stunning home underwent a complete renovation, capitalising on the existing layout that boasted good bones. However, the uninterrupted oceanfront views truly steal the spotlight and serve as the driving force behind every aspect of the home's design. What was once a dark, dated brick structure has been completely transformed into a light-filled space that exudes a timeless style. The main level of the house embraces a classic and refined aesthetic, while the lower level emanates a more relaxed feel. After tearing your gaze away from the mesmerising ocean view, the materials utilised throughout the home are captivating features in their own right.

This project seamlessly blends renovation and a new build. What was once a garage and carport has been transformed into a captivating kitchen and inviting front deck. Gone are the days of the cramped and dim interior; the newly renovated home now boasts a spacious layout with an abundance of natural light. With its beachy vibes, this home has evolved into a truly cool and inviting beach house. The outdoors brings the overall design together with the addition of timber boardwalks and meticulously designed landscaping.

Turia is one of the most inspiring humans we have met, so it was a big yes when she asked us to refresh her home office. Turia had been using a spare bedroom with some IKEA furniture plonked in it as her office. And for someone truly inspiring, we wanted to create a beautiful space for her to work. With a coat of paint, new carpet and window treatments, we had a fresh canvas to work with. We sourced furniture pieces that weren't typically 'officey' to create a functional and inspiring space for Turia to work from.
