Meet Simone, founder of SOUL Home
I'm Simone Mathews, an interior designer and a director in our family business, BAM Construction. I’m also a mum to four growing boys, an avid traveller, educator, dreamer and your biggest supporter - all of which has culminated in SOUL Home.
Get to know me
During the 80s, my parents bought a block of land to build our family home. We camped out for two nights to secure the perfect spot (yep, that’s what they did back then). As the youngest of four girls, I was right there in the thick of it, going to showrooms and visiting the construction site.
Fast-forward to today, my husband Ben and I (with our four older boys, two who are now apprentices) have been on an incredible journey, seeing all sides of the design and construction industry. As an interior designer and builder duo, we've been creating homes for our clients (including eight personal projects of our own) for the past twenty years, many of which have sent Instagram into a frenzy and became the foundation for what we are renowned for.
Underpinning our approach is a deep understanding of the way a home can make a person feel - it’s so much more than the physical structure. We strike a delicate balance between beautiful and functional, ensuring each space enhances the way you live and connect with loved ones.
