Lean To Roof

Definition:

A single sloped roof attached to a taller wall, like a shed.

Price Point:

Simple and affordable, it is often used for extensions or sheds.

Flat Roof

Definition:

A mostly level roof with a slight tilt for rain runoff.

Price Point:

Typically, the cheapest due to minimal materials and straightforward construction.

Gable Roof

Definition:

Two sloped sides meet at the top, like an upside-down "V."

Price Point:

Common and relatively affordable, as it’s easy to design and build.

Hip Roof

Definition:

A roof with sloping sides all around, like a pyramid top.

Price Point:

Slightly more expensive due to extra materials and labor for the sloping sides.

Gable Roof with Dormer

Definition:

A "V" roof with small window sections that stick out.

Price Point:

Typically, the priciest is due to added dormers, which increase materials, labour, and waterproofing needs.

Gable and Valley Roof

Definition:

Two "V" roofs meet, creating low spots (valleys) where they join.

Price Point:

It is more complex and costly, with valleys that require extra support and waterproofing.

Hip and Valley Roof

Definition:

A roof where sloped sides meet and form low spots (valleys) at their connections.

Price Point:

Among the most expensive, as it combines complex slopes, valleys, and structural support.
