Binna Burra is very chilled and laid back, and you will definitely need a car to get there and around.

A few minutes away is the time of Newrybar. Harvest has awesome food and coffee, and one of my favourite stores is there, Newrybar Merchants, which is a collective of designers and brands.

A bit further along is Bangalow, in this town you will find a few more of my favourites, Woods for great food, and Bisque Traders and Island Luxe for shopping.

The Plot is about a 25-minute drive to Byron Bay, but you need to time the trip in with the traffic. Otherwise, it can take double the time. We would get up early and head in to do the Lighthouse Walk, go to Bayleaf for breakfast, and a swim at The Pass before heading back to The Plot.

We also enjoyed the countryside drive out to Eltham. It has been taken over by Julia from @thevista and her husband. It is the quintessential country pub. Good old-fashioned service, excellent pub tucker and a great vibe as there was a band playing that night.

Ben and the boys enjoyed a walk to Minyon Falls. They didn’t go all the way but said the view was magical. It took about 20 minutes each way to the lookout.
