The beauty of linen is that it doesn’t need to be ironed, so there’s much less work involved.
Tell us about Cultiver, the brand & what it stands for.
Bringing a little luxury to everyday life is what CULTIVER is all about. CULTIVER is the French word for cultivate – and for us, it represents a way of life that embraces quality and timelessness in the things we use most frequently. At CULTIVER, we’re passionate about creating exceptional tactile experiences by offering a curated collection of the best items for our homes.
Our bedding, dining and living collections are designed to give comfort and enjoyment. They are styled to provide an Australian ease and effortless look to our favourite spaces. Our textiles are thoughtfully sourced and carefully selected, with premium quality and style in mind.
Why linen, for curating a bed in that relaxed, holiday style?
Linen bedding has a distinctive texture and drape, which is perfect for creating that effortless holiday style in the bedroom. The beauty of linen is that it doesn’t need to be ironed, so there’s much less work involved. The ‘linen look’ is relaxed, laid-back and effortless and we embrace the wrinkles and imperfections that go hand in hand with the natural fibres.
What are your own holiday-home inspirations?
Whether it’s a coastal beach shack or countryside cottage, I love holiday homes that connect the indoors with the landscape, and vice versa. We spend so much of our time indoors, with our eyes glued to some form of screen, so for me, a holiday home should be an environment where you can unplug from technology and rejuvenate. I’m inspired by places with natural spaces and large, open entertaining areas like Erin Lauder’s ski lodge and James Perse farmhouse.
I’d love to hear your tips, for creating your own holiday vibe…
Keeping your home free from clutter is a big one. If your home is cluttered, it’s likely that spills over to other areas of your life too, so clearing some space in your physical environment will undoubtedly help you achieve the holiday vibe.
Having a central and welcoming entertaining area is a necessity for me and as I mentioned earlier, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor connection. A simple way to bring the outdoors in is by using more natural materials inside and adding elements of greenery to your décor.
